Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Soulbound Inc. (“Soulbound,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and disclose information in connection with the Yodl protocol, related interfaces, and associated services (collectively, the “Yodl Services”).
Yodl is a protocol-level coordination and execution authorization system for decentralized finance. Soulbound does not operate as a custodian, broker, dealer, exchange, or investment adviser, and does not take possession of user assets or private keys.
1. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to:
- The Yodl website(s) and user interfaces operated by Soulbound
- Protocol interaction surfaces controlled by Soulbound (e.g., dashboards, delegation interfaces)
- Communications with Soulbound (email, forms, support)
This Policy does not apply to:
- Public blockchains and smart contracts not controlled by Soulbound
- Third-party wallets, aggregators, RPC providers, or operators
- On-chain data that is publicly available by design
2. Information We Do Not Collect
To avoid ambiguity:
- We do not collect private keys or seed phrases
- We do not custody digital assets
- We do not collect KYC information by default
- We do not track user balances, portfolio value, or trading profits
- We do not infer investment intent, expected returns, or financial suitability
Any protocol interaction occurs directly between the user’s wallet and public smart contracts.
3. Information We May Collect
3.1 Information You Provide Voluntarily
You may provide limited information when you:
- Contact us (email address, message content)
- Apply to become a protocol participant (operator, curator, partner)
- Subscribe to updates or announcements
This information is used only for the stated purpose and is not sold or repurposed.
3.2 Automatically Collected Information (Limited)
When you access Yodl-operated interfaces, we may collect:
- IP address (or partial IP)
- Browser type and device metadata
- Interaction timestamps
- Referrer URLs
This data is used solely for security, abuse prevention, analytics, and infrastructure reliability.
3.3 Blockchain and Public Ledger Data
When you interact with the Yodl protocol, public blockchain data may include:
- Wallet addresses
- Transaction hashes
- Smart-contract calls
- Delegation or authorization parameters encoded on-chain
This information is not collected by us in the traditional sense—it is publicly available on the blockchain and processed by decentralized networks outside our control.
4. How We Use Information
We use collected information only to:
- Operate and maintain Yodl-controlled interfaces
- Respond to inquiries and support requests
- Improve protocol usability and reliability
- Detect abuse, fraud, or security threats
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
We do not use personal data to:
- Market financial products
- Profile users for investment behavior
- Make automated decisions affecting legal or economic rights
5. Non-Custodial and Protocol-Native Architecture
Yodl is designed such that:
- Authorization is expressed on-chain, not through user accounts
- Execution limits are enforced by smart contracts, not discretion
- Restoration and enforcement are deterministic and rule-based
As a result, Soulbound does not have access to, nor control over, user assets or execution outcomes.
6. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We may disclose information:
- To service providers (hosting, analytics, security) under confidentiality obligations
- If required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
- To protect the integrity, security, or lawful operation of Yodl
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data.
7. International Data Transfers
Soulbound may operate globally. Information may be processed in jurisdictions different from your own. Where applicable, we implement reasonable safeguards consistent with international data-protection standards.
8. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described above, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
Public blockchain data is immutable and retained by the underlying network, not by Soulbound.
9. Security Measures
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information processed. However, no system is risk-free, especially when interacting with public blockchains.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:
- Access information we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion
- Object to or restrict certain processing
Requests can be made by contacting us at the address below. Note: We cannot alter or delete public blockchain data.
11. Third-Party Services
Yodl interfaces may link to third-party services (wallets, aggregators, explorers). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date.
